Favourite things (4 of 5) – Music

Almost every household I know, enjoy music, thoroughly! I am not talking about kids pretending to be rock starts and putting on a performance here, that would belong to the pretend play category 🙂

Dance like no one is watching

Sing along like the artists got the lyrics wrong, not you!

Be the resident DJ please the crowd (minus the actual you tube videos of course!, Spotify is one of my favourite apps for music)

Music feeds my/ most souls! As my Grandma says, you are never lonely if you make music your companion…

We take turns requesting our favourite songs to be played and patiently wait for our turn.

Things to remember

Make sure you play the radio edit versions lol! Kids pick on the lyrics and give their vocal chords a good stretching exercise 🙂 Even though my kids primarily speak and understand only the English language, I choose songs in any other Indian languages that I like too. This makes them appreciate the music for what it is without overthinking the lyrics.
