Well sorry to disappoint you, there aren’t any! Just like with most things in life, there are no short cuts to loosing weight, maintaining weight and staying healthy for the rest of your life. I often see clients who have ‘tried it all’ and yet not succeed in maintaining the weight that they lost. The shortcuts help you loose weight, i am not challenging that at all! Most of them are research based and have the important ingredients to help you shed the kilos! But what about the harder part – MAINTAINING part of the weight loss process.
These are some of the points to ponder on if you are really tired of feeling the way you do about your health, weight, appearance and really want all the weight loss to have happened yesterday:
- Slimming pills, slimming body masks, meal replacements, protein shakes as meal replacements – how much $ is it costing you, and can you afford it FOREVER?
- Getting healthy meal delivered – cost factor, will you find the time and energy to cook the same meals at home once you stop the service?
Lets face it, we will know whats good for us and what is when it comes to dietary factors to weight loss. My almost 6 year old knows it too!! But what is stopping you from finding the time, energy and motivation to convert your learnt knowledge into daily life long practice?
- Mindset – emotional factors and levels of motivation – have you got skills to manage distressing emotions in a healthier way rather than reaching for comfort food or drinks?
